I'm a slacker.
Who flaked out on Project 365 already. However, I've been assured that there are no 365 police, so I can pick up again. Maybe I will tonight, we'll see.

Day 20 & Day 21: Silly Sisters and Yummy Bread
I spent Thursday and Friday with my mom who is recovering from gall bladder surgery. The cats desperately wanted to keep her company, (so did the dogs, but they are too heavy and weren't allowed to be up with her.)
Friday Dad asked if I could make some bread. Mom typically makes bread for his sandwiches, so she helped me make hers. Let me tell you, if you are thinking bread is too hard and takes too long, you need this book. It's full of awesome breads that don't take hours and hours of kneading and work. Check it out!

Day 15: Holly, Teach Me to Knit...
Saturday morning I was at my parents house. I had brought along my knitting and was attempting to work on my hat while the cat desperately wanted to get involved. It wasn't the yarn she was attacking, it was the needles and my hand.

Day 14: Under the Table?
This was the advice my Dove chocolate gave me this afternoon:
I guess I understand the point it was making... but, seriously? Under the table? In the cookie jar? (That's not love, that's just chocolate.) Now, if you are saying I'll find love inside this wrapper, you're absolutely right... but I expect it, that's why I bought it.
Where did I hide the rest of that chocolate?

Day 12: Hat Full of Sky
I love the Tiffany Aching books by Terry Pratchett, he's really a great author. Really, I love all of Discworld. Anyway, Terry Pratchett being awesome has nothing to do with today's picture, except that it's of a hat.
Isn't this picture pretty intense? I'm still pretty intimidated by double pointed needles, they're so confusing!
Anyway, I would have posted pictures of the finished product too, but somehow my hand doesn't model as well as a baby's head, and it's for a friend of mine who is due pretty much any day with a bundle of boy joy. So, that picture looks a little weird, and the one with needles is way cooler.

Day 11: Peppermint Water is My Friend
Last week we stopped by the natural food store in Newport and I got this weird water there. It's Metro Mint peppermint water and it's awesome! I actually sent Mark back in to order me a case of it, and last night I became the proud owner of twelve bottles! Wee! This is the first bottle I opened.
If you haven't tried it yet, track it down and enjoy! It's super refreshing and makes your breath fresh and minty without the hassle of chewing gum all day.

Day 10: Backwards (Inside Out?) Knitting
I'm attempting to knit my first hat (that starts on double pointed needles, moves to circular needles and then comes back to double pointed) all by myself. My wonderful Grandma helped me out with other hats, but this time I'm trying it myself. Anyway, somehow I ended up with my needles not really being quite right. It's going to work, but I'm not sure what I did.

Day 9: The Old Man and the Afternoon Cat...
...is the best book ever! I need a copy. It was one of my favorites as a child. Anyway, the pic of the day is unfortunately not of me owning that book, but it is of my cat. Anyway, this cat (Bean) is like the cat in the book, belonging to different people depending on the time of day. Mark can't sit on the couch or play video games or do anything during the day and evening and not have the cat on his lap demanding pets. Then Bean abandons Mark and sleeps on my pillow all night long (if I'm lucky). If I'm not lucky, he sleeps on the pillow until he decides that he needs attention, then he jumps on my chest and meows until I wake up (and kick him out.. you'd think he learn and just stay sleeping) to attend to his needs. Anyway, here is one of the few moments he's spending with me during the day. I think I won because of my blanket.

Day 8: I Want to Ride My Bicycle, I Want to Ride My Bike...
Mark and I need to get back into better shape. This is half of our attempt to do that. The other half is still at my parents house waiting for us to bring it home. Hooray? (Yes, that is Terry Pratchett (the awesome and amazing) lining the entire shelf behind the bike.)

Day 6: Chill Out
Today was cold. I had a twenty minute walk in the cold this morning, my office was chilly and by the time I got home all I wanted to do was curl up in my awesome blanket I got for Christmas. (From zaichiki baby, it was a semi-custom.) After he posed for me, I wanted to play super hero.
Day 5: Headaches and Hand Grenades
Yesterday was full of headaches. I had a headache, and my husband and I actually left work at lunch because he had a borderline migraine. It wasn't full of hand grenades, but that makes a catchy title, yes? Heating pads and caffeine fix headaches, specifically for me, Dr. Pepper.

Day 4: Scarf for my hubby
I knit a scarf for my husband a before we got married, it got ruined a year or two later and he's be asking off and on for another ever since. I finally got up the gumption to start a new scarf and I think it's looking pretty neat.

Project 365
While wandering through the "Secret Girl Internets" (as my husband refers to it) I stumbled upon Project 365. My goal is to take and post at least one picture per day for the rest of the year. (Yes, I do realize that this project will actually be Project 363 since today is supposed to be day 3 and it's my day one. Don't hold it against me.) In order to do this, you're supposed to have an outlet for the pictures, this blog; H. M. Wogglebug T. E. is hopefully going to that outlet.
Today's picture is of my thief of a cat. He waits until I take my hair down, then steals my hair fastener and runs away.
